Application tips for blemishes, rosacea, and beyond!

Blemishes

  • Wash your hands before handling your face. Dirt and oils on your hands will only aggravate the blemish.
  • Apply an oil-control foundation, starting at the center of the face and blending outward.
  • Choose a concealer with cool undertones to counteract the redness of the blemish.
  • Avoid irritation by using a brush to both apply and blend concealer.
  • Set with an oil-control powder. Use this powder throughout the day to control shine.

Rosacea

  • Begin by applying a primer to the entire face. Primers smooth skin and help your look last all day.
  • Apply a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher to the entire face, starting at the center and working outward toward the hairline.
  • Place a small amount of liquid concealer between your fingertips. Rub together to warm the concealer, this will provide a smoother application.
  • Use a sponge makeup wedge to lightly apply concealer to only the red areas.
  • Blend using a circular motion, being careful not to tug.

Age Spots

  • Apply an anti-aging moisturizer to your face and neck.
  • For more even coverage, apply a primer to the bridge of your nose and cheeks.
  • Using a foundation that doesn’t settle into fine lines, apply to the entire face.
  • Apply a light, liquid concealer to any visible age spots. Blend with the pad of your ring finger outward, smoothing the concealer on the age spot and surrounding the area.
  • Set the look with a translucent powder that won’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles.
